Race 7 concluded this weekend at Superior Hobbies. It  also wrapped up our 29th year of racing. Superior put on a great show and the racing was great.  Taking home State titles were Michael Bruce in Novak 17.5 and the Pro Modified ,  Dave Bowser in the 10.5 Expert class, Jim Sowa in the Masters Stock class. Individual calss winners this weekend were Austin Harrison in 13.5, Michael Bruce in Pro Modified, Jim Sowa in Masters Stock, and Chris Lefebvre in Novak 17.5.

Also discussed this weekend were next years rule changes. Going on the ballot this year is the change to 1 day race events. If passed, then it would be determined also by voting which day we will race and reducing to 1 set of tires. There were some changes agreed on at the race, they include: The Pro Modified class will return to ifmar qualifying. The Classes that will be run for the 2009-2010 season will be 13.5, 17.5, Modified(no limit), Masters. In addition it will be at the Host clubs discretion to provide trophies to the winners.  Tracks that will be hosting races next year include, Strickland RC, Superior Hobbies, Adrenaline Hobbies, Minreg, MDI, SS Raceway, and Kraceway.  We are also in the works of offering a reduced entry fee for running a second class. Once that info is available, it will be posted.
